Important news about collection proceedings after the reform of the Law 1/2000 of Civil Procedure (LEC): Law 42/2015, 15th October.

The Law 42/2015 reformed some outstanding aspects of the Law 1/2000 of Civil Procedure (LEC). The current law entered into force at 6th of October, one day after it was published in the Offical State Gazette (BOE).

It includes following significant changes:

• Introduction of information and communication technologies in legal relations with Judicial Authorities starting from 1th January 2016.
• Change of functions ot the legal representative.
• Improvements of the implementation of oral and other procedures.
• Adjustments to the regulation of collecting proceedings and enforcement of arbitration proceedings.
• Reduction of statutory limitation.
• Constitutional adaptation of court fees.
