On July 3, 2015 was published in the BOE the Law of Voluntary Jurisdiction, applicable to the processes that need the intervention of a jurisdictional organ for the guardianship of rights and interests as for civil and mercantile law, without there exists controversy that should be held in a contentious procedure.
The law attributes the knowledge of a significant number of own matters of voluntary jurisdiction to Judicial, Notarial Secretaries and Property and Mercantile registrars, coming out this way from work to Judges and Justices. Between other examples, the Notaries will be able to celebrate marriages, or to remind in writing separations and divorces, in certain cases. The law comes into force with general character, on July 23, 2015.
